Once the bridge over the Vézère has been crossed, the scenery of greenery and water extends to the other bank. The circuit continues along rue de l'abreuvoir which goes up towards the old town.
Then we cross the Vézère again via the Pont Turgot to reach the starting point.
The route is punctuated with panels recounting the life and work of Simone De Beauvoir, philosopher and writer (1908-1986), Goncourt Prize 1954, who spent part of her holidays during her childhood, very close to here.
"The abundance of colors and smells excited me. Everywhere, in the green water of the fisheries, in the swell of the meadows, under the cutting ferns, in the hollows of the copses, treasures were hidden that I burned to discover." (Memoirs of a Tidy Young Girl)
